Hi, I am Pankaj and I am a multimedia journalist based in New York.
I lived the first 18 years of my life in the heart of Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, a geographical marvel sandwiched between the two most populated countries in the world, China and India, before I came to the United States in 2008.
I've spent the last eight years in three different time zones in America: the EST, the MST and the CST.  Between the gator swamps of Louisiana, the 14ers of Colorado, the ever-stretching highways of Dallas, the paralyzing nor'easters of Boston, the antebellum houses of Mississippi, and the chaotic mindfulness of New York, I am yet to plant my roots in the country that has morphed me from a teenager to a semi-functioning adult.

As a multimedia journalist, I aspire to tell stories of subjects and issues that engage and challenge my thoughts and beliefs through a combination of text, audio and visuals.
I started out as a "Sherpa," affectionally named by my first photojournalism mentor when I carried filming gear and lighting equipments to shoots as an intern and eventually made my way into the front pages of the first daily newspaper of Southwest Louisiana. The pursuit of stories has taken me to the swamps of Louisiana and the blazing fires of Colorado, the Boston Marathons and the grids of New York, empty villages and overpopulated cities of Nepal, and very recently to southern affluence of Mississippi.

I have reported, filmed, shot and edited for the Southern Foodways Alliance, Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, Boston University News Service, the Chronicle-News, theComment (BU graduate student magazine), and the American Press.
My works have been featured on the Stand Global, Slant News, and on nationally critiqued shows and picked by news wires such as CNN.
